WELCOME to Help Patrick Walk

Patrick on E! Entertainmnet "Born Different 2: More Amazing Medical Stories" January 2011 (Patrick was flown to Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego and not Children's Hospital Los Angeles. E! Entertainment mistakenly mentioned the wrong hospital. We want to give credit to the amazing nurses at doctors at Radys. We love you!)

"My name is Patrick Ivison, I’m sixteen years old and I am a junior in high school.  Several years ago, I was hit by a car and suffered a C4 incomplete spinal cord injury. I use a manual wheelchair to get around. Being in a wheelchair has taught me to focus on my abilities rather than my disability."

Patrick was diagnosed as a quadriplegic due to an incomplete C-4/C-5 spinal cord injury that he suffered when he was hit by a car as a small child.

Patrick and his family want him to participate in Project Walk in Carlsbad, California, an intensive physical therapy program that has had amazing results with people from all over the world. He has been evaluated by Project Walk and they absolutely believe they can help Patrick.

The problem is this program is expensive and so far NOT covered by insurance. Each hour of treatment costs $100 and Patrick trains 6 hours a week. Help Patrick Walk is focused on raising money to cover the cost of therapy and to modify a vehicle for Patrick to drive independently when he is old enough. Patrick's dream is also to go away to college, live indedependtly and to live in the dorm. Funds that are raised will also go towards caregivers if Patrick needs them in the future. All donations are tax-deductible.
